Iuaweah

Iuaweah, ever present since the beginning of time, is the Goddess of Life and mother of all other gods and goddesses.  She frequently manifests herself in Cambria as either a tall, lanky human female or a phoenix, her holy symbol.  Iuaweah is believed to be overall a benevolent goddess.  However, it is also known that she does have a vindictive side when necessary.  Shortly after she split off part of herself to create K'halia and D'Von, the goddess of heaven and the god of earth, she learned that K'halia was planning a coup to overthrow her mother as the Goddess of Life.  After a brief war known as the Age of Conflict, Iuaweah lured K'halia into her throne under the guise of calling a truce and handing over her position.  When K'halia arrived, however, she was caught off-guard and her mother cleaved her in two using Iuaweah's Revenge (A halberd forged by Mragk), producing K'ha and Ali'a.

K'halia

K'halia was formed when Iuaweah split a piece of herself off in the days of The Creation to create the heavens and the earth.  Up until the end of the Age of Conflict, K'halia was the Goddess of the Heavens.  She and her brother, D'von, had planned to overthrow her mother and she was to take her place as the Goddess of Life.  Somehow her mother had found out about their plan but only learned of K'halia's treachery.  Somehow D'von's participation had been left out, of course leading to K'halia believing that her brother had traitorous intentions.  The end of the Age of Conflict came about when K'halia was called to her mother's throne room to discuss a truce.  Truce, however, was not on the table.  Within moments Iuaweah brandished Iauweah's Revenge and cut her daughter in half ending her reign as Goddess of Heaven.  The outcome of this was the birth of K'ha, God of Light, and Ali'a, Goddess of Dark.  While a few still worship K'halia, hers is a service of apathy.  Her clerics receive no spells or special abilities as their goddess is dead.

K'ha

K'ha, born of his mother's death, is the God of Light.  He holds dominion over all that is light and just.  Some refer to him as the Good God as he is against all that is evil.  He seeks to destroy all of the world's sinners and laud the virtuous.  He does not manifest himself often in Cambria, but when he does he appears as a tall version of an elf with flowing white hair and piercing green eyes.  His follower's tend to be paladins or priests but he will accept nearly anyone that believes in the ideals of fairness and good.

Ali'a

Like her brother, K'ha, Ali'a was born of her own mother's demise.  When K'halia was torn in two it is believed that everything good in her was formed into K'ha while all evil flowed into Ali'a.  She is the Goddess of Dark and holds dominion over all that is dark and evil.  She has been planning the assassination of her brother ever since her birth.  It is believed that Ali'a went back in time to the Age of Conflict and provided Mragk with the palladium needed to craft Iuaweah's Revenge that provided for her own creation.  Immediately after her birth she married D'von.  Not out of love, but out of political design, for he was the God of Earth and the underworld which meant that she could bend his ear toward her desires thus giving her control over death vicariously through him.  Together they bore one son, Teryn.

Every millenia Iuaweah welcomes two mortals to join the ranks of gods dwelling in Overland.  In 202 E2 a half-elf by the name of Brazzit became the first of this millennium to attain deific status.  The other gods were shocked as Iuaweah had not mentioned prior to this that she would be inviting mortals to become a God.  Of course, it was her right as ruling Goddess to do as she pleased, but several of the other gods felt as if they had been usurped, regardless of the fact that they had not lost any power.  Brazzit's ascension to God-ship was as surprising as it was curious.  He came from nowhere out of the blue and was simply present at the Summer Solstice Gathering of 202 E2.  Try as they may, the other Gods and Goddesses could not find what special circumstances had led to his ascension.  Until Ali'a uncovered the truth.  It appeared as though two years before being made a God Brazzit had trapped Iuaweah on one of her pilgrimages to the world below.  He had made a deal with her that if he were to let her go she would have two years to attempt to destroy him.  If he were to survive her attempts, she must anoint him into Overland.  Well, try as she may, Iuaweah could not destroy him.  She sent an army of 50 druids to destroy the man.  He created an illusory version of himself to run through the city.  Whenever a druidic warrior would get close he would make it seem as though the illusory version had jumped into the body of one of the villagers.  This led to the destruction of the entire population of the city, but alas, Brazzit remained alive.  Iuaweah sent a great fire to destroy Brazzit and his home, but the wily wizard had a contingency in mind and a tremulous wind blew the flames around the town burning everything but his land.  A couple more ill attempts and Iuaweah had no choice but to honor her deal.  She appointed Brazzit to the realm of Justice.  Whenever anyone was in need of retribution, Brazzit would deliver the justice that would destroy the subject.  Unfortunately Brazzit could not honor the boundary of only destroying those that deserved it.  He found that he could gain more power by gaining more worshipers, and the easiest way to more worshipers was to answer the prayers for vengeance from those that he had already garnered.  Quickly word spread that Brazzit was a God that actually answered prayers.  If someone wronged you, it was to Brazzit that you requested attrition.  And his love for spilling blood left nary a request ignored.  He relished any excuse to destroy a mortal, the likes of which had picked on his mortal self for years.  His ascension left one giant unanswered question.  Who would be the next mortal welcomed into Overland?

D'Von

D'Von, brother of K'halia and son of Iauweah, is the reigning God of Earth.  He is a sneaky being that underhandedly betrayed his sister in the Age of Conflict and guaranteed his own domain would grow.  His mother was so pleased with his information about K'halia's plot to overthrow her that she granted him dominion over not only the earth, but over the underworld as well.  D'von will occasionally manifest himself as a stout dwarf when visiting Cambria, which he does quite often.  He has also been known to have many an affair with mortal women and has produced at least two dozen demi-gods over the past 40 years alone.  As mentioned, D'von is a sneaky underhanded god that will think nothing of welshing on a deal or manipulating the life of a mortal to gain something for himself.   After his sister was killed he fell in love with and married Ali'a.  Together they bore a son, Teryn.  Ali'a knows of many of D'Von's extra-marital affairs but chooses to ignore them.

 Teryn

Teryn, son of Ali'a and D'Von, is the God of War and Battle.  He is a cold meticulous god, constantly planning the coming of the next Age of Conflict.  It is undetermined which side he will take, the only thing anyone knows for sure is that it will be the winning one.  Teryn is extremely close to Mragk and between them they have equipped and trained thousands of men to fight in the coming battle.  Teryn is also known for his penchant to interfere in the lives of his half-brothers and sisters.  Sometimes his interference is boon, sometimes bane, depending on the sibling and their intentions.  When he manifests on earth it is most often the form of a muscular human with gold locks and blue eyes.  He wears a set of Golden Field Plate and carries with him Scar, the battle-axe that Mragk made for him when Teryn saved him from a horde of Ali'a's minions mere weeks after the end of the Age of Conflict.  Scar's blade is diamond carbide and the hilt is formed from the bones of an elder wyrm.  The pommel holds the amber eye of the same dragon.  It is said that no weapon exists stronger or sharper than Scar.

Mragk

Mragk is the God of the Forge.  He alone mans the sky-forge, a forge of questionable origin that rests within Overland, the Palace of the Gods.  Mragk can work metals and stones in ways that no mortal can.  He created a halberd made of pure palladium, one of the only metals capable of slaying a god, for Iuaweah.  After lining the handle in a leather made from the skin of 100 virgins and adorning it with a strand of hair from each Giant King, Fire, Frost, Storm and Earth, he presented the halberd naming it Iuaweah's Revenge.  Some question where he found enough palladium to make an entire halberd, others have their suspicions that it came from Ali'a traveling back in time.  Among Mragk's other amazing creations is Scar, the battle-axe he forged for Teryn.  Mragk frequently visits Cambria, in the shape of either a rippled dwarf or a small bronze dragon depending on his intentions for that particular trip.  It has been said that he is currently searching for an apprentice to help at the forge for ever looming Second Conflict.  The origin of Mragk is unsure.  No one knows where he came from or when.  He seems to have just always been there.

Followers of Brazzit are common. A priest of Brazzit, however, is not. Brazzit is known to be a greedy God and desires only for himself to be worshiped. He allows no more than Five High Priests to be active at any one time, one for each Cardinal point of Cambria. In order for a priest of Brazzit to become High Priest he must seek out one of the current High Priests and a duel must ensue, the victor to be High Priest until the next challenge. Upon reaching level 3, clerics of Brazzit obtain the ability to cast Protection from Chaos 3/day. At level 5 they gain a +1 to hit versus chaos or Good. At level 7 they are given their pilgrimage in which they must seek to have their weapon blessed by one of the five High Priests. Once their weapon has been blessed they must kill one humanoid in cold-blood each month in order to retain the blessing. The weapon becomes a +5/+5 vorpal weapon versus Good. The weapon also allows the wielder to always know where the five high priests are at any given point. This pilgrimage is the beginning of the ascension to High Priest. Upon reaching level 10, clerics of Brazzit gain ten additional hitpoints as well as a favor. They may ask Brazzit for one favor to be granted. There is no limit on what the favor can accomplish, however rumor has it that Brazzit enjoys twisting the words.
